There are three levels symbolizing mountains,main land and reflecting water, showing how we move from winter to spring. A cobble stone walkway flanked by shrubs and spring bulbs in bloom will lead visitors to the‘awakening area’. Throughout the garden you will enjoy the textures of springtime."

Canada Blooms Garden See the beautiful Feature Gardens before the crowds!
Canada Blooms enthusiasts know that Early Morning Tours are the best way to start off your visit to the show. Let a knowledgeable tour guide tell you all the inside information of how those magnificent gardens are put together. Tickets are only $40 and include all day admission to the festival and the National Home Show. A limited number of tickets are available and they must be purchased in advance.

Friday March 16th and Wednesday March 20th ONLY
Enjoy special treat, starting at 6:30 pm you will meet and greet Canada AM's Mark Cullen (Friday) or AM740's Charlie Dobbin and Landscape Ontario's Denis Flanagan (Wednesday) then have an opportunity to discover either the Gardens of Canada Blooms or the Toronto Flower Show with informative tour guides and finally finish off your tour with wine tastings at the Reif Wine Sensory Garden before you head out to visit the Garden Marketplace. Tickets for the evening event are $55 and also includes all day entry to the fesival and the National Home Show.

2012 Butterfly Entries

The Toronto Flower Show has some fun ways for your sprouts to get involved in gardening.
Kids ages 12 or under can design a bug made of dried plant material and enter it
in the Abracadabra Class.  Their design can represent a real bug or one created by their
imaginations and can use any type of dried plant material – such as seeds, leaves, flowers or bark.
Or how about a fruit or vegetable resprouted or rooted in a container which they
can enter in the Herbology Class.  A perfect example of this is an avocado pit rooted in water in a clear jar.Garden Club of Toronto
A description of the class and all the rules and regulations for entering are in the competitor’s schedule on the Canada Blooms or Garden Club of Toronto websites.The class is open to all children ages 12 or under and entries must be delivered on Wednesday, March 13th.

Now in its 13th year, her weekly column ‘Your Garden’ appears in the St. Catharines Standard and Niagara Falls Review. Her work has appeared in national garden and trade publications and websites. Her light-hearted garden lectures and workshops entertain and enlighten audiences across southern Ontario. She has been invited to present at Garden Writer’s Association Symposia in Portland, Oregon and Dallas, Texas. Theresa was presented with the GWA 2010 Silver Medal of Achievement.
