Children's Garden ExperienceThe Canadian Wildlife Federation Natural Playground Built by BienenstockThe Children's Garden Experience, presented by Floral Dimensions, Fafard and Gronomics, is designed to demystify gardening and horticulture for children 5-12. Drop by G2 located near the Blooms Cafe and your sprouts will have a chance to plant a bulb and learn about gardening. Space is limited.

  1. Visit The Canadian Wildlife Federation Playground built by Bienenstock G29 located near the main entrance, and you will experience a connection to nature, art and Bob the Buildermusic. This playground is fun for children of all ages, experience the slide carved from a 300 year old oak, sand and water play, a chime fence and interactive programming from The Canadian Wildlife Federation and Bienenstock.

Check out the Children's Entries at the Toronto Flower Show. The Abracadabra Class shows "bugs" designed using imagination and dried plant material and the Herbology Class will show the care taken when resprouting/rooting fruit or vegetables.

Bob the Builder presented by Kidomo will be on the Unilock Celebrity Stage presented by HGTV on Friday March 16 at Noon as part of the National Home Show Speaker Series. Come by and enjoy an hour with Bob. See what the National Home Show has planned for March 16th.

Meet The Garden Pros At Canada Blooms

Carson ArthurCarson Arthur is one of a very select few Canadian landscapers to have television shows all around the world. Carson has led the way as the voice of environmentally friendly landscape design on a global scale. As the spokesperson for RTF Water Saver Grass seed, PureRain North America, and Black and Decker Canada, Carson has been active in helping to develop a better understanding of green living within a social context. When not in the dirt; Natural Landscape Spring IssueCarson stays busy building, planting, writing and designing as a featured guest on CityLine, Steven & Chris, and as a contributing writer for Wal-Mart’s upcoming retail magazine.

Master Gardeners at Canada Blooms

If you’ve got questions, Master Gardeners have the answers!
If you are visiting Canada Blooms on either Sunday, you have an added opportunity to learn more about taking care of your gardens.
At Sit Down Sunday on both March 17 and 24 in Salon 103 from 11 am to 4 pm,  Master Gardeners are Master Gardeners of Ontarioavailable to consult with individuals to answer questions about your garden and to provide inspiration and information to help make gardening more of a pleasure. While not designers, Master Gardeners are experts at selecting the right plant for the right place in your garden. Visitors are invited to bring questions and photographs to the show.

Scotts CanadaDo you have a question about starting a garden, lawn care or container gardening? Then stop by the Scotts Canada booth (C22) and ask one of the Scotts experts for the answer. Take time to enjoy a presentation on the Scotts Miracle-Gro "Learning" Stage which features the latest tips and new products for the upcoming gardening season. Get out of the cold and enjoy a touch of spring as soon as you enter into the Festival! Together again, Albert Graves from Bloemen Decor and Colomba Fuller, Canada Blooms' Artistic Director have created a dazzling display in G19. The Magic of Spring Entrance Garden will feature an incredible array of flowers - Freesias, Helleborus, African Violets, Lisianthus, Chrysanthemums, Orchids and more - provided by Ontario growers: Spring Valley Gardens, Timbereno Flowers, Woodhill Greenhouses, Slaman Greenhouses, Ultra Grow, Virgil Greenhouses and Cosmic Plants. Spring has definitely sprung.

Toronto Flower Show 2012Be sure to visit The Toronto Flower Show and enjoy a fabulous Fresh Floralssculptural design by well-known Toronto floral designer Bruno Duarte.
Bruno’s exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design techniques coupled with his use of natural materials result in wonderful works of art.

Black Walnut Gardens

Carolyn Lecker is the creator and director of Black Walnut Gardens, a remarkable award winning garden destination and educational facility in Prince Edward County. She continues to travel, write and lecture, including a most recent and exciting work trip to South Africa --- when not weeding, propagating, inspiring and being inspired.

Black Walnut Educational Gardens is home to some of her most exciting work - most recently a "Fragrant Tactile Garden", a stimulus for the visually challenged and all garden lovers. The Gardens are wonderful acres of organic flower, vegetable and herb gardens in Prince Edward County. The facility and gardens are perhaps more well known internationally than locally. They serve as a backdrop for seniors working with the at-risk youth community as well as offering symposia and lectures throughout the year. Carolyn will be presenting 11 am on Friday March 22 on the Grey Power Garden Solutions Stage and 1:30 pm on the Scotts Miracle-Gro Learning stage and Saturday March 23 at 11:30 on the Scotts Miracle-Gro Learning Stage, a book signing will follow.

Come understand the notion of a “Fragrant Tactile Garden”, where scent, touch, and even taste take precedence. Carolyn will explore with you some Fragrant Tactile Gardens around the world. Those visually challenged and others will enjoy this presentation.

Richter’s Herbs (the notable plant specialists) will be supplying some wonderful plants for the tables, both tactile and fragrant, as stimulating examples.
