Spread the ‘Love in the Garden’ at Canada Blooms’ Opening Night Gala
Flower-children, Go-Go dancers and design duo Colin & Justin promise a groovy night surrounded by beautiful gardens, spring blooms
Toronto, ON, March 3, 2008 – Flower Power’ is back and in full-swing at Canada Blooms’ ‘Love in the Garden’ Opening Night Gala presented by Sobeys on March 11, 2008. Design duo Colin & Justin will launch Canada’s largest flower and garden festival joined by flower-children, Go-Go dancers and guests encouraged to wear their best vintage Flower Power outfits. The opening night celebration will also preview all the spectacular gardens that transform the Metro Toronto Convention Centre with the sights, sounds and smells of spring each March.

‘Love in the Garden’ is the opening night celebration and launch of the five-day Canada Blooms Festival, Canada’s largest flower and garden festival dedicated to promoting horticulture and showcasing outstanding floral and landscape products and services. Inspired by this year’s ‘Flower Power’ theme, the opening night gala will celebrate a nostalgic return to a time when people wore flowers in their hair. |
Guests will be the first to see The Miracle-Gro: Do Up the Doorstep Challenge – 12 exciting container gardening ideas from local ce-lebrities like renowned designer Brian Gluckstein, Joe Mimran of Joe Fresh, Marjorie Harris of Gardening Life, National Ballet star Rex Harrington, Seamus O Reagan and Beverly Thomson of Canada AM, and Shinan Govani of the National Post
They will also have the chance to preview the breathtaking gardens, sample exclusive wines in the Niagara Wine Garden, and enjoy delicious fare provided by Sobeys.
